The following is a letter that was sent to CSDP President Kevin Zeese while on the Journey for Justice in Texas. The letter is from an inmate at one of the institutions that the Journey visited. Information which could reveal the identity of the writer has been deleted for the writer's protection.

Dear Kevin,

I am an inmate at the ----- Prison in -----, Texas (a friend is e-mailing this to you for me). I was at a visit with my ----- and saw the demonstration. I just wanted to let you know that all of the work and support of the Journey for Justice is GREATLY appreciated by me, all the other inmates, and our families.

I am -- years old and am serving a 6-year sentence (mandatory minimum) for a first offense, non-violent drug charge. Anything that people do to try and help change the drug laws offers a lot of hope to me and many others.

Thank you very much once again and keep up the wonderful work. You all are in my heart and in my prayers. If you can please keep me posted on any new happenings.
